リハーサルへ行く

　ピアニストでもある友達のジョナサンのリサイタルが今週あるんだそうです。彼は今音楽学校の博士課程の院生。今回の発表会は彼にとって正念場となるコンサートなのであまり小さな子連れは入れないそうなんですが、そのリハーサルなら大丈夫なので見に来ませんか？とのお誘いをうけて、Tmが友達と出かけてきました。声を掛けると0-3歳児のお母さんたちが大勢集まって見に行ってきたそうです。そういうジョナサンも２児の父親で、下の子は今年生まれたばかりです。大きな会場の端のほうにみんなおとなしく座ってリハーサルを観覧したそうです。
　子供たちは最後には終わった後に舞台にも上げてもらってやりたい放題。すごいのは、ジョナサン、子供たちがいようが関係なく集中して演奏をしたこと。もちろん、子供が愚図りだしたらすぐに退出してはいましたが、それでも雑音がないわけではありません。常に家に子供がいる環境で練習しているからなのでしょうか、大したものです。

Yu and Tm went rehearsal of Jonathan's recital this week. It was at Kilbourn hall in ESM in the downtown. Since Tm was offered to come to enjoy his performance, Tm asked some her friends to come along with. There were about 10 families were interested in listening to his piano performance. If it was main recital, younger kids will not be allowed to be there. But because it was rehearsal (even it was official), he kindly offered friends who have babies to come. I think it's really good chance especially for mothers who have young kids below 3 to attend such kind of performance.
I'm sure they all enjoyed. After all done, he let some kids to be on the stage while he was practicing. It also surprised me. Thanks, Jonathan.
